Vice President's Report (continued from home page)

Hello everyone, hopefully 2010 will be a better year for everyone.

First thing I want to talk about is TRAIN M.R.O.'S chili cook off, which will be held at Tommy's Duce's Grill (the old Duce's Wild) 9956 Escort Drive, Mason Ohio. The owner (Larry) and Manager (Marcus) was with the old Duce's Wild when it was opened, these folks are very happy to see us come back in and are very receptive to TRAIN having events there. I talked with Marcus today and I'll tell ya he's a hell of a nice guy. Any way the chili cook-off will be March the 13th. From 6:00pm till 8:00 pm. Costing ya $5.00 to taste a bunch of great chili's and share in on the best brother / sisterhood you can find any where in the area. They also will be having a band this night, not sure who yet still in works. A lot of us used to go there years ago, and man did we have a lot of fun. We at TRAIN M.R.O. are glad they are back opened.

People have asked me now and then about the charity's that we support and why we don't support the bigger ones. Well I'm going to tell our stand on this matter.

TRAIN M.R.O. from the start was founded as a 501(C)(3) charity, and we have always felt that picking and keeping our charity's local, in the area we live in, was and is near and dear to our hearts, cause the monies we raise helps OUR neighbors, not some distant city or state. We help families, children, that otherwise would not get the help they need, because the charity's we support get No State, Or Federal Funding. Just this past year, TRAIN and Santa, made Christmas a realality for about 35-40 kids, that other wise would not have had a Christmas. THIS SAYS IT ALL folks. THIS IS WHY we keep it local. Not to say anything bad about the bigger events and charity's but a lot of them get millions of $$$ yearly from funding from the States, Feds. Not that we at TRAIN M.R.O. doesn't believe in these charity's we do, as Directors, members, we do support them, a lot. We just believe as an organization KEEPING our charity's local and close to home, helping OUR neighbors, is very important to us all at TRAIN M.R.O.

Thanks
