Membership Report (continued from home page)As membership director, I think it's important for me to be as personable as I can possibly be. One of my duties is to send out reminder renewal notices. I could send these out via e-mail, but I felt this would be too impersonable and chose to mail these letters instead. This year I've started mailing the letters on a more personable note. I've started changing each months letter so I can inform our members of any upcoming events. If I have fliers available for upcoming events, I include them with my reminder. I'm also trying to process the renewals and new member applications in a timely manner so they can get their cards quickly. Even though I'm the membership director, I am more than willing to help out any of my fellow directors in any capacity that I can. I try to attend all the board of director meetings and monthly meetings so that I can stay informed and continue to keep members informed. When we have membership drives and regular events, I tried to be on hand with applications for renewals and possibly new members. I feel good about who we are and what we stand for. Sue Ross |
