TRAIN in Drivers Education Class Welcome to TRAIN MRO, Inc. TRAIN stands for Training Rider Awareness Is Necessary. We are a Motorcycle Rights Organization (MRO) with a focus on Safety and Education. Our charter is to train drivers of vehicles and motorcyclists on how to operate their vehicles safely around each other. We believe that the single best course of action to survive an automobile accident, is to prevent the accident in the first place.

Presidents Column

Welcome to TRAINMRO'S website. We are a 501c3 Charity and ALL the money we raise goes to local Charities in the area. We are also all volunteers, no one gets paid here!!

The Charities we contribute to are but are not limited to The Warren County Rape Crises and Abuse Center, Haven House , The Metropolitan Resident Council's Homework Club and Book Fare for under privileged Children, The Cincinnati Children's Dental Foundation and our own Toys For Toddlers.

Once again we are heading into riding season and there are a few things to talk about . Every May is Motorcycle Awareness Month and we do our part to make riding safer by educating new drivers on the fundamentals of driving around motorcycles. What to expect from riders they are following, various hand signals we use and encourage them to give us a little more space when following us. Also to look twice before pulling out into traffic and a host of other tips to keep us safe.

We also support other Charity organizations by attending their events And enjoying the Brotherhood that comes with doing that. After all Folks that's what it is all about!!

We also do events ourselves like our Covered Bridge Rides, One in July and one in October and our Chili Cook-off as well as a Christmas Party. We hope you will visit our Website often and check out upcoming events and rides and continue to support us. Without each and every one of you we could not do the things we do.

First and foremost is Motorcycle safety. We encourage safe riding practice's for everyone and hope all of you have a safe riding season. We also hope you all will come see us and consider being a Member Of TRAINMRO . We are a Membership Run Organizations and we love to see new people as well as our Members that have been around awhile.

Hello Brothers and Sisters, WOW its Thanksgiving already. Another year has passed again and yet here all of us are, still together, riding ,partying, and fighting for our rights in the MRO world.

TRAINMRO had a pretty good year this year , with the help of other Organizations in the tri state. Thanx. to Abate of Ohio, the KMRO, KMA/KBA, Star Riders, the Lost Onez, and all the ones I forgot. We at TRAINMRO Thank You.

With out all of you supporting our events we would not be able to support our Charities at Christmas. THANX ALL!

I would also like to Thank all the TRAINMRO Directors for another great show of unity and dedication to the cause. On a personal note, Thanx to Tim and Chris for stepping up as Road Captians, taking on my duties (which I love) when I was hurt this summer and didnt feel I could fulfill my duties to the best of my abilities Safely.

This Thanksgiving will be a sad but happy one for myself.

I lost my oldest Brother Donnie on 11/17 when he lost his fight with throat cancer. I wish we had stayed closer over the years but time got away from us and I just didnt make it a point to stay in touch. Its my loss! Just wish it would have been different. (Its been a long strange trip) I will sure miss him!

The happy side to this is my next older Brother Duane and myself have and are reconnecting after 30 years. Duane has been in the Army all his life, been all over the world many times, and recently came home from 3 tours since 9/11 this time to stay, I hope , any ways I have found what I lost and I will not lose it again!

Brothers and Sisters, dont take your family for granted, keep them close and in your heart, cause when their gone all you will have left is YOU. I have a lot of memories, when we were young, but for me memories are not enough, KEEP the ones you love close!!

I truly have a lot to be thankful for this year, My wife,Sammie,Brandie, Angie, and the grandkids.

alt What is TRAIN MRO?

While we are a Motorcycle Rights Organization, we aren’t as tuned to legislation as other MRO’s, but we ARE dedicated to the training of our future drivers/riders to be alert and aware of motorcyclists. Some of us teach in Bick’s driving schools. It is very satisfying. Besides that we are a charitable organization, hence the 501c3 status. In this respect, we can accept donations and these donations can be deducted on your income tax return. We can only make our donations to other 501c3 status holders also. Dues cannot be used as a deduction. We currently charge $10/single and $15/couple for membership dues.

What do I get from a TRAIN MRO membership?

You get to be a part of an organization that cares about you, the motorcyclist. We not only try to train future drivers, we also put on safe rides. We have our two regular covered bridge runs, one on July 9^th and one on Oct 8^th. We also do a Chili Cook-off, a family picnic, Halloween Party and our Christmas Party with Auction. In addition we will be doing a Bug Run on June11th and we also do other rides and events throughout the year.

All the monies collected from our runs are used to help run TRAIN and support our charities. Last year alone we were able to contribute $4000 to these charities: Warren County Rape & Crisis Center, Cincinnati Children’s Dental Foundation, the Haven House and Metropolitan housings Book Bag Fair and Toys for Toddlers. Monies used in the running of TRAIN are for insurance and expenses. We try to keep these to a minimum so we can give more to our charities.

Our directors do this all on a volunteer basis.

It’s amazing really, if you think about it, to be able to donate $4000 in one year just based on membership dues and our runs. Especially in today’s economic times and with memberships dwindling, to be able to say ‘Look what we did’. You should be patting yourself on the back for helping to make this happen.
